It Feels Good To Be Second...

Special thanks to my friends and their daughters for handling A Brown Bag Gourmet's booth at the 2nd Annual Citizens Against Domestic Violence chili cook off!!

A Brown Bag Gourmet actually won 2nd place against the Osage Beach Police Department. Serving White Chicken Chili which was originally created by the culinary staff at The Lodge of Four Seasons and is available 7 days a week at Breeze's Restaurant inside The Lodge!

The "Brown Bag Babes" included Jenni Glendenning, Sherry Jackson Jones, Jaree Duenke Donnelly, Amy Heier and Erica Allen Hurt. Their daughters provided assistance and some fun, joyous entertainment as they played noisemakers and danced while Miss Jackie sang.

As the 2nd place winner, A Brown Bag Gourmet received a trophy shaped like a cauldron of chili, and a check for $250.00 which was immediately signed back over to CADV.

The trophy was given to Chef Michael Hollingsworth and his team at The Lodge of Four Seasons for their efforts in supporting A Brown Bag Gourmet in making a winning pot of chili.

Citizens Against Domestic Violence is located in Camdenton, Missouri, and provides shelter and assistance to individuals who are the victims of domestic violence. For more information about CADV please email CADVVOC@sbcglobal.net.
